I get spinning wheel every time I swipe...

Post by Guest » Sat Dec 24, 2011 12:19 am

I'll go look at mail or something than come back to an open Pages 09 doc in Lion. I'll start typing, nothing will appear, then the notorious 'spinning wheel' appears for a few seconds, followed by an error box that opens and closes so fast I can't read it.  It's just really annoying - not what I expect when using a Mac. Any ideas on what could be happening/what I might do to fix? Thanks

When you bought Lion, were you aware of a feature named "AutoSave" ?This one take benefit of every time when you don't trigger the machine to save the changes which you made.Doing that means write on disk task.I guess that it's what you are getting. Yvan KOENIG (VALLAURIS, France) lundi 15 août 2011 17:07:41iMac 21”5, i7, 2.8 GHz, 4 Gbytes, 1 Tbytes, mac OS X 10.6.8 and 10.7.0My iDisk is : <http://public.me.com/koenigyvan>Please : Search for questions similar to your own before submitting them to the community To be the AW6 successor, iWork MUST integrate a TRUE DB, not a list organizer !

Thanks I was very aware of AutoSave and truly appreciate it (I've already used it to go back to rescue old versions!). I guess that could be the reason, but somehow it autosaves continuously and I don't experience the spinning ball. Anyway, I'll try to be more patient :-)
