how do I remove the triangular deletion...

Post by Guest » Thu Jan 05, 2012 8:59 am

I have my editing view set to Final.  When I delete text, Pages '09 displays a small triangular caret mark along the baseline at the point of deletion.  This carries through in printed versions of the text.  How do I get rid of this?  I assume it would go away if I accepted all changes, but I am not ready to do that. Thanks in advance -Edward

Edward, Have you considered doing a Save_As and accepting the changes in the copy? That way you can continue in the original document after you have reviewed the dup. Jerry

Thanks, Jerry.  I guess I could do that but it seems like a clunky workaround...you should be able to hide the markers for printing, I would think.  Oh well.

Well, ZP, there's a quicker way. You could accept the changes, print and then Command-Z your way back to the point just before you accepted. Not sure I would recommend that. The "clunky" way is much safer. Jerry
